Activities
  • Comparison and knowledge exchange of experiences in marine renewable schemes including efficiency of energy extraction and hydro-environmental aspects including flooding.
  • Activities Assessment of the energy extraction potential of marine renewable schemes (i) to (iv).
Development of tools, by all partners, to assess the energy extraction potential in their coastal waters. Experiences and approaches will be exchanged and a common methodology developed for assessment of the energy extraction potential for all schemes.
  • Assessment of the hydro-environmental impact of marine renewable energy schemes (i) to (iv)
To help this new industry develop, a series of tools and technologies will be refined and disseminated widely, which will help in minimising any adverse hydro-environmental or ecological impacts of these innovative technologies.
  • Climate change impact on design requirements for marine renewable energy devices
Models of changes in sea level rise, tidal currents and coastal impacts will be applied to the partners’ case study sites so that the effects of climate change on marine renewable power generation can be prevented and design adapted.
  • Communication Plan
In-depth definition of the communication plan and development of the delivery of the various communication activities which will be part of this proposal facilitating wide dissemination of project outcomes.
